Vivitar has announced the launch of its 6-megapixel ViviCam 6200W underwater digital camera.

The bright yellow ViviCam 6200W boasts impressive full waterproof capabilities of up to 10 metres (approx 30 feet).

The camera features a 4x digital zoom, a 2-inch LCD display, SD card support and a rubberised exterior for enhanced ruggedness and durability.

The camera also features a focus free lens, video mode, self-timer, multiple flash modes and works with both Macs and PCs.

"We are very excited to debut the first consumer underwater digital camera this summer. We feel that the ViviCam 6200W is a fresh take on our long heritage of quality and innovation in the photography industry", said Abbas Bhanji the CEO of Vivitar Europe.

The ViviCam 6200W is available now through select retail outlets, including Amazon, for a suggested price of £129.99 (although a quick check on Amazon today reveals the current price as £99.99 – wowsers!).
