Epson has today announced a wrath of new printers from personal business models to photo all in ones.
The new models, as you would expect, all offer better results quicker.
In the all-in-one arena, Epson has launched the Stylus Photo R285 Printer, RX595 and RX680 All-In-Ones.
The Epson R285 (called the R280 in the US), RX595 and RX680 share a number of features developed specifically for photo enthusiasts and creative hobbyists according to Epson.
These include everything from an Auto Photo Correction feature to being able to print 12 4x6-inch photos in 2 minutes 17 seconds and the promise of up to 38 or 40 ppm for text based documents.
In addition the Epson Stylus Photo RX595 and RX680 both feature a 2.5-inch colour LCD screen, a memory card and USB flash drive reader and optional Bluetooth connectivity.
The printers will also use individual ink cartridges rather than a combined colour and single black.
The new printers also offer photo quality scanning of 48-bit 1200x2400 dpi resolution and both have the ability to scan directly to a USB flash drive or memory card in PDF and JPEG formats without the need for a computer.
All three models will be available in September in the US. The estimated street prices are $99.99 for the Epson Stylus Photo R280, $149.99 for the Epson Stylus Photo RX595 and $199.99 for the Epson Stylus Photo RX680.
No word as yet on a UK price or launch date.
We will keep you posted.
