Compression tool available for trial with Samsung memory cards

BluBox Software announces new partnership

NEWS: 27 March 2008 17:00 GMT by Katie Scott

Samsung memory card customers across Europe will be able to try out BluBox's image compression tool for free from April onwards.

BluBox V4 is a photographic digital data compression tool, which allows users to share their images but also offers encryption facilities so pics are kept safe.

Snappers can compress photo file sizes by up to 95%; encrypt and protect pictures using Government-standard encryption; but the tool also allows users to view pictures while they are still compressed and encrypted.

Photographers can print directly from within the BluBox program or extract and then print; as well as being able to organise and store photos inside BluBox archives.

And files can also be extracted back to their original file format for use in other programs.

Samsung memory card and USB memory users across Europe will be able to test the software from next month.

The software is compatible with PCs running Windows 2000, XP or Vista; and Microsoft .NET framework version 2.0 or higher.

The licence registration requires a connection to the internet.

BluBox also recommends that you have at least a 400MHz processor, 64MB RAM and 15MB free disk space on the hard drive.
