Casio releases firmware 1.02 for the Exilim EX-F1

Should speed things up

NEWS: 28 April 2008 14:14 GMT by Verity Burns

Casio has made a new firmware version for the Casio Exilim EX-F1 available for download from its website.

The update to V1.02 should mean a shorter start up time and high-speed zoom support during FHD movie recording.

How do you know if you need it? Simple. Hold down the menu button as you turn the camera on. Keep holding down the menu button until the version of your camera's firmware shows up. If you see VER 1.00 or VER 1.01, then bingo – you need the update.

Log on to the website to install the new software, but make sure your camera is fully charged when you do. If the firmware installation is interrupted due to low battery power, your camera will no longer work, and that just wouldn't do...

The website below will contain everything you need to get yourself fully updated, and full instructions on the installation process.
