DSLR Remote Pro v1.7 adds support for more Canon cameras

Check out the photo booth mode for perfect Facebook profile pictures

NEWS: 29 April 2008 16:48 GMT by Verity Burns

Breeze Systems have announced an updated version of its DSLR Remote Pro software that allows photographers to remotely control their camera from their computer.

Version 1.7 now supports the Canon EOS Rebel XSi/450D camera, and also features an enhanced photo booth mode that allows you to automatically take a sequence of photos and print them out.

Company founder Chris Breeze said: "Photo booth mode was introduced to DSLR Remote Pro last year in response to the increasing popularity of these booths at events. The new live view lets sitters see themselves pose in front of the camera and greatly enhances the photo booth experience".

The company have also announced the photo booth mode has been added to their remote software for Canon PowerShot cameras, PSRemote v.1.6.

Both programs are available on a free trial from Breeze Systems' website and run on Windows Vista and XP. If you like what you get, you can purchase the full programs online too. Be quick if you like the sound of PSRemote v1.6 – it's on offer at $49 (about £25) until 5 May.
