Canon selling two new Selphy printers

Family-friendly models

NEWS: 7 May 2008 10:07 GMT by Verity Burns

Canon has introduced two new models in its Selphy compact photo printer line-up.

Both portable, both easy to use, the Selphy CP770 and its sister model the Selphy CP760 have great printing capabilities, despite their small size.

The CP770 has an integrated storage case, carry handle and optional battery pack, while the ultra-compact, CP760 has an improved user interface and easy-on-the-pocket price tag.

Other features of both models include auto image correction with Face Brightness optimisation, auto red-eye correction and the ability to change photos in to different colours, such as black and white or sepia – all at the click of a button.

Even better, you don't even need to load up your PC to print your pictures. They both feature Pictbridge and Direct Print compatibility for printing directly from a camera, as well as slots for most formats of memory card.

The CP770 can even receive photos via infra-red with its built-in IrDA IR, or an optional BU-30 Bluetooth adaptor allows you to send photos direct from your phone.

Both printers print to various sizes in as little as 52 seconds, achieving a look Canon compares to traditional lab prints. It adds that each print is finished with a special coating that protects images and their quality for up to 100 years.

The Selphy CP770 will be available at the end of June for £139, while you’ll be able to get your hands on Selphy CP760 a little earlier – it will be available at the end of May priced at £89.
