Epson announces Stylus SX200 and SX400 printers

Printer and scanner for all-in-one versatility

NEWS: 20 May 2008 11:06 GMT by Verity Burns

Epson have announced two new stylish all-in-one printers, which include lots of handy features that should make them a pretty good choice for home photo printing.

The Stylus SX200 and SX400 feature individual ink cartridges which means you only need to replace the colour you use - plus the ink they use is actually Epson DURABrite Ultra Ink which is resistant to water, smudging and fading.

As well as being compact for minimal space requirements, both printers are also convenient in offering PC-free printing via built-in memory card slots or PictBridge. The SX400 even has a LCD viewer to view photos before printing, which is a great added extra to the big brother of the series.

As for speed, both the Stylus SX200 and SX400 are able to
print black and white and colour documents at up to 34 pages per minute.

And if you're looking for a printer with that little bit extra, the SX200 and SX400 also act as scanners, so you can print out copies of original photographs, as well as use it to scan in documents, making it a versatile little addition to your home too.

Other features on both models include Epson PhotoEnhance technology. Images featuring skin tones, landscapes and skylines are detected automatically and reproduced with enhanced colour settings to improve the overall tones and contrasts. Also included is Epson Easy Photo Print, which makes it easy to remove red-eye.

The SX200 will retail for £79.99, while the SX400 will set you back £119.99. Both models will be available from June.
