Kodak adds two new wireless digital frames to its range

With enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity

NEWS: 10 July 2008 10:21 GMT by Verity Burns

Kodak has launched two new models in its line of digital photo frames.

The W1020 and W820 both offer a high-resolution 800 x 480, 16:9 aspect ratio digital display, with screens sized 10-inches and 8-inches respectively.

A new feature to the frames is the introduction of the Quick Touch Border. This makes the frame easier to control than before, being able to just touch or slide your finger around the edge for simple operation while leaving the screen fingerprint-free.

Both frames boast 512MB of internal memory, which should be more than enough for up to 4000 pictures. However, for the snap happy, you can add more pictures via the two memory card slots.

As you'd expect from a Kodak frame these days, both are wireless-enabled and can connect to the Internet via your home Wi-Fi connection. However, the Wi-Fi connectivity of these frames has been enhanced from previous frames, and thanks to a new collaboration, consumers can now log on to Kodak Gallery and Flickr for additional photo-sharing options directly from their frame.

Plus, for those who can't be bothered to turn on their computer or TV to find out what's going on in the world, an agreement with FrameChannel offers consumers access to online news and information.
