Captures 720p HD video from the palm of your hand

Kodak has entered into the fast-growing pocket digital video camera market with the release of its Zi6 HD video camera.
It looks the part with a large 2.4-inch LCD screen, and also performs well thanks to its 60fps 720p HD video capture. However, the Zi6 can also record at lower quality VGA for those of you wanting to upload your content to YouTube, and it even takes stills as well.
To start recording, it's as easy as point and click. There's not lens cap or settings to adjust - it's ready to go out of the box.
There's a 32GB SD/SDHC memory card slot that can hold up to 32GB and it comes with AA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries and charger. It can take regular AA batteries too, but we suspect they won't last too long.
It comes with all the cables you'll need to watch your videos back on your TV, an integrated USB jack and also the usual video software that will allow you to edit your footage and add stills and music to them if you so wish.
It really is pocket-friendly too and sits in the palm of your hand similarly to if you were recording with a mobile phone.
The Kodak Zi6 is due for release in September in the States and will sell for an RRP of $179.95 (around £90). It'll be available in both pink and black. No news as yet on a UK release, but we'll keep you updated.
