Konica Minolta launches new website

Alongside graphic design competition

NEWS: 1 August 2008 19:04 GMT by Verity Burns

Konica Minolta has launched a new website to help consumers find out all they need to know about the company's printers.

People logging on will now be able to find out easily where they can go to buy Konica Minolta printers, as well as find out about special offers and top printing tips from the experts.

UK residents can even upload images and be sent a print sample of their picture to show the quality of Konica Minolta printers.

To coincide with the launch of the new website, Konica Minolta is also launching the Get Yourself Noticed competition. Run in association with Marketing Week, ComputerArts and ComputerArts Projects, the competition aims to reveal the hidden talents of the graphic design industry, with the winner being launched into the media as the rising star of graphic design.

The competition is looking for entrants to predict the future style of graphic design in any printable way, asking them to consider how colour and definition would be used.

The winner will have their work displayed on central London billboards and in "big media publications".

For more details on the competition, head on over to the website - the deadline for entries is 12th September 2008.

Konica Minolta's range of colour printers, particularly the outstanding
colour A3s, are always a necessity to the creative design market and those
who rely on quality and true colour for their businesses' continued success.

As Mark Lloyd, IT Channel Director for Konica Minolta has commented: "Konica
Minolta printers are essential to this market due to the fact that we
manufacture the only printers that have the technology to produce absolute
true colour."

Sales of Konica Minolta's latest A3+ printer magicolor(R) 8650DN has tripled
it's targets over Quarter One and Quarter Two so far, and is proving
undeniably popular and an absolute necessity for the creative industries,
where quality is an essential to the profitability of their business.

Both the A3+ magicolor(R) 7450 and 8650DN have won numerous awards including
BLI, Macworld and Digital Arts over all other equivalent printer models from
the other major players.
