Samsun Electronics has announced the addition of four new digital photo frames to its existing line of display products, available from September 1st.
The SPF-85H and the WiFi-enabled SPF-85V have an 8-inch screen, while the SPF-105P and the WiFi-enabled SPF105V feature 10-inch displays.
All four feature a glossy black frame and rounded edges and benefit from Samsung's Starlight Touch Controls which sees touchscreen buttons integrated into the frame to control the display. The buttons disappear into the frame after 10 seconds of inactivity.
Another nice touch for these frames is that thanks to Samsung's UbiSync technology, you can use the frames as a secondary monitor for your laptop of desktop computer.
Starlight Touch features capacitive touch buttons, which disappear from the bezel after 10 seconds of inactivity. These digital photo frames can also be used as a secondary monitor for your laptop or desktop, using Samsung’s exclusive UbiSync technology. Simply hook the frame up via USB and you're good to go.
The SPF-85V and SPF-105V are the Internet photo frames of the range, which allow for wireless connectivity via 802.11b/g. This allows for easier photo sharing, but also comes with Samsung's InfoLink feature which offers you the opportunity to get RSS feeds from USA Today and the Frame Channel, which gets over 400 channels of news, sports, stocks and other interesting stuff.
Looking into specs, the WiFi-enabled SPF-85H and SPF-105P have 64MB internal memory and the auto-rotate function for photos, and have 800x600 resolution and 1024x600 resolution screen respectively.
All four frames will be available this year - the SPF-85H and SPF-85V from September 1st for $129.99 (around £65) and $199.99 (£100) respectively, the SPF-105P for $199.99 from October 1st and finally the SPF-105V from November 1st for a price of $289.99 (£145). No official UK prices have been released as yet but we'll let you know when they are.
