Jobo has announced its new X7 portable photo viewer, a unique addition to its range of digital picture frames.

Designed to be more than just a picture frame, the 7-inch screen is small enough to be carried around by photographers to view their photos on a larger screen when shooting or to back up their photos from their memory card. It features 1GB of internal memory itself, which can store up to 10,000 images, depending on their size.

To make it durable enough to be carried around on the go, the X7 features a solid rubber protection rim on all sides of the frame, which also makes for a comfortable grip. It also has a leather cover that protects the screen, but then flips around the back to stand the frame up for when you are back home.

The frame also features slideshow options, a copy, delete and rotate function, a calendar and clock. It supports most memory cards and supports JPEG and BMP picture formats.

The Jobo X7 Portable Photo Viewer will be available from September at a price of £149.99.
