Entry level model gets October launch

NEWS: 19 September 2008 10:51 GMT by Katie Scott

The Pixma iP1900 is the latest addition to the Canon inkjet photo printer line-up.

An entry-level model - it incorporates Canon's FINE Cartridge technology, which comprises one black pigment ink cartridge for text printing and one CMY dye-based ink cartridge to deliver photos.

Images are delivered at resolutions of 4800x1200dpi.

The PIXMA iP1900 prints a borderless 10x15cm print in approximately 55 seconds.

Available from October, the printer comes bundled with
Canon's Easy-PhotoPrint EX software which now offers Auto Photo Fix with features including red-eye removal and scene analysis.

There's no price as yet but we'll keep you posted.
